Well, I am pretty sure that is the engine kit for the 1.8L motor which means the timing belt is a different length and other various parts may be different. But I am pretty sure that the pistons will work in a 2.0L engine. If they will, then I would take just the pistons/rings from you for say... 300 shipped? Can someone confirm that the pistons from the 1.8 and 2.0 are the same?

Thanks. smile.gif

I have been looking around and seem to be leaning toward the fact that the pistons ARE different between the 1.8 and 2.0L engines.

In Jon gtr's engine buildup thread there is a pic of the part number for the wiseco pistons and the sticker specifically says hyundai 2.0L.

So I think they are different, but not sure.

Anyone who knows please post.

Thanks.

The pistons in JonGTR engine bulit are 83mm bore. These pistons are 82.5mm bore. You should ask Jon if he bored out his block to fit the pistons.

I found that the beta with engine code G4GF has a stock bore of 82mm.
