sorry, it was picked up at 7am this morning.

forums aren't cooperating on my phone and I the site has been blocked at todays office location.

part of me is glad it went to someone outside. I don't want the same problems to be inherited and consuming other members. I was becoming high maintenance. More posting later

Well that kind of sucks, it was a beautiful machine that I personally think would have looked awesome in MY driveway tongue.gif I even convinced the bank to front me some cash for it and the fix, but glad you got what you wanted for it. Honestly mines becoming a bit of a money pit too but that's the way aged cars go. Still I want a 2nd RD2 still just to VS.

Have fun with the Genesis! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous.

It's my belief the transmission would have needed to be replaced. It's leaking and I can't tell from where. Looking at it this morning, it has to be more than an axle seal leak. The leak started when the hole appeared, so I'm guessing the two are related (can't confirm). The axles needed to be replaced, and the body kit needed some patching and painting. It just wasn't something I wanted to pawn off to another member. I also had concerns that the frame may be slightly twisted... only because there was more fender gap on one side than the other. It's been like that for years, but again, I don't want someone inheriting problems I don't know about.

The guy who bought it will probably replace the tranny and do a half-ass job fixing the minor body blemishes and then sell it to some Mexican car dealer in Knoxville, TN (his words, not mine). If anyone is interested, I can get his e-mail address for you.

Car sold at 7am this morning with $2,000 cash in hand. I'm gonna miss the tib. It's a sad day for me.

Majik, I highly doubt he'll let it got for near what he paid, but I would like his email. Even with all that I am still thinking of taking on the project.
