blacktibs, i bought a set of KDM headlights for my car, so i will try and get the haloz in soon, I'm also putting in some lunar accents. I like options when it comes to my lighting (thats why i also have a set CATZ XLD's)

So, soon my car will have silvania silverstars high and low, blacktibs' dual color 2nd gen haloz (white and orange, completely switchable) and yellow lunar accents, also switchable. I will get pick up AS SOON AS I HAVE TIME TO DO THE INSTALLS.

BTW, tibby01, i was wrong about fastenerhut, they STILL HAVEN'T RESPONDED to my emails, going to call later this morning and find out WTF my order is.

 

tibwrcsbj, most likely you won't be able to put lunar accents in the low beams. I have them around my high beams, and that looks great, but due to the projector, and the snug-ness of the surround in front of it, it proved too much of a pain to rig... just to give you a heads up. (of course, anything's possible with enough elbow grease... wink.gif ) The haloz will provide a lot of light, they'll shine on the wall if you pull up close to one. (this is all info for an RD2, I can't tell what kind you have from your profile...)

 

thanks phorq, yeah its a second gen, see the tiny lights under the turns???? my turns and the markers are leds, thats why they look more like points of light instead of a glowing housing.

I might actually look into putting them IN the procjectors, i don't know yet though...... have to take a real close look at that when i take them apart. I'm going to see if its possible to line the insides of the projectors w/ a reflective material.....they are just painted a dual gray now.....gotta be losing some efficiency b/c of that.

BTW do you have amber led front turns??? if so how do they match your haloz??? (you've got orange right??)

 

How much is it for a 2nd gen headlight with high and low blue halos? HA is down today...
and how much do i get back when i ship you my stock? will you be doing that soon? Let me know if this is avaliable.
Is it easy to remove 2nd Gen headlights? Will the car run with no headlights in the day?

 

you got to take of the whole bumper to get to the headlights on a 2nd gen. check out phorq's post in the DIY section towards the bottom.

 

No, I don't have LED blinkers, usually when something is advertised as "amber", it isn't the right orange... it's more yellowish. And actually, the orange that Blacktibs uses is redder than Varad orange... more "radioactive" or "biohazard" orange, as my friends like to call it. I have APC mirror xenon orange blinkers in now... they're quite orange, but more yellow/orange. Something that's "red" is usually "red", same for yellow and blue (primary colors)... but once you start looking for secondary colors, it's pretty hard to keep things matching... there's red/orange, orange/red, orange, yellow/orange, etc (yes they're different, consult your box of crayola, each of these colors exists there). Same goes for green and purple. It's defintely harder to keep consistant.

I just created 2 LED varad orange Dome Lights tonite... from experience, don't do it. Even with 4 LEDs shining down through the clear dome plastic, it sucks. I know it's off topic, but I'm not creating a new thread because it turned out worthless.

Actually phorq, I might just do that and get amber and white instead of my orange and white. Figures HP is down when i need to get on it. He did a comparison of Orange and Amber for me before. I'll decide in a couple of weeks. got other, more important things to get 1st.

In stock I have one blue set of 2nd gen single colors, one dual color blue and white 3rd gen, 1 set of 3rd gen cores, and 1 set of 2nd gen cores(soon to be two sets)

I'm all set up with the best my workshop has ever been before, and my new machine can make a halo the size of your house if I wanted, so anyone interested, keep this thread alive and I'll answer all posts here from now on, till my universal thread is made over at HP, all other forums will point to their so I can take care of all you guys over there. Too many threads make it seem like I'm not following or care about your ?s I just forget how many damn threads I've made, or am involved in.
