Finally settled in at the new place. Need room in the garage, have no use for these anymore:

S/R "Evo" style CF hood (RD2), from first production run, blemished. Great for race weekends (weighs only 16#s) or maybe re-clear it. I'll include a set of [NIP] hood pins.

Some Fitment Pics

Pics of Blems

MBRP mid-pipe- flanged at rear (direct bolt to muffler), cut from where it was welded to cat. I can send pics if interested.

I know it's policy to post asking prices, but because shipping costs and my location are big considerations, I will accept any reasonable offer, FCFS basis. I would prefer not to ship these items (because of size), but I am in 29 Palms, CA (which isn't exactly a "local" pickup for anyone in SoCal). If you want to pick either of these up, I can meet you, but no more than an hour or two of drive time.

I know this is a picky post, but if I can't give these (and a few other) parts a good home, they're going in the trash, and I'd rather not see that happen.

...keep tunin'

I have some random parts and stuff, including brand new never used Eibach springs, if your interested in a trade or something, lemme know.

Shipping the hood will cost AT LEAST $100, and that's business to business. If you send me a zip code, and let me know if it's business or residential, I'll get you a quote in a day or two. The hood & packaging together weighless than 25#, but the size of the box is what drives up the cost. That's why I said I'd rather not ship it.

But again, for those interested, send me a zip (howlerz@verizon.net) & I'll get back to you.

Update:

Checked out a bunch of freight quotes; decided I won't be shipping the hood. Wouldn't be a good deal for anyone out of the area.

If you're in SoCal, and still interested, let me know; we can meet somewhere. I'll let this thing go for a song...just get it out of my garage! Hell, I'll throw in the midpipe for free with the hood.

At the end of the month, they're both going to the recycling center and/or the dump.

Screw the whales, Save the Parts!

I was quoted in the $300-$500 range for shipping to Florida. That's ridiculous.

For $290 you can get a barely-blemished CF hood shipped to you from Erebuni; the shipping rates I was quoted are in the range where someone could buy a brand-new hood. That's why I said I'm not gonna ship it. Problem with shipping is that with almost every freight company I talked to, I will have to take it to the carrier dock myself- that's at least an hour's drive.

Looks like I'll probably be trashing both parts...

Those prices are ridiculous, who are you getting quotes from? Don't trash the hood yet, I'm gonna cry =( lol.
I hate to see such a beautiful piece of CF go in the trash... 02.gif

I got quotes from a bunch of places online. I googled "freight shippers" and went down the list. I got a great rate quote from a shipper I found online while I was still in AL, but I didn't transfer my IE-Favorites to my new work PC, and I can't find that shipper's website 'cause I don't remember the name.

I'm a little surprised there's not more interest in the hood, I mean, I'll practically give it away. I had more responses when I was in AL; thought there would be more SoCal owners interested once I got out here.

It won't cost any "locals" much more than gas money to take either part off my hands...
