About this Manufacturer:
Centerforce has been a mainstay in the performance industry for many years, providing a unique "spin" on clutches. The company's patented "Centerforce" technology employs a set of weights that use centrifugal force and leverage to increase clamping power the higher the engine is revved. This means that the more power your car puts to the ground, the stronger a Centerforce clutch will hold. Almost as important is the fact that because of this design, Centerforce is able to increase clutch performance without increasing the effort needed to disengage the clutch, maintaining a stock pedal feel, which is a big deal in our book.
About this Product:
The Centerforce Dual-Friction clutch set is a performance matched pressure plate & disc combination. Centerforce Dual-Friction pressure plates feature their patented centrifugal weight system (where applicable) and specialized machining processes to provide a performance clutch that offers exceptional street characteristics, while offering outstanding holding-capacity and durability. Furthermore, the Centerforce Dual-Friction disc has a full facing on the pressure plate side for drivability and longevity, while a carbon composite puc style (segmented) facing is used on the flywheel side for a positive engagement and increased holding-capacity. Dual Friction is engineered for those who are looking for the ultimate in street/strip holding power and performance without sacrificing pedal effort and driver control. While the Dual Friction has been engineered primarily as a street clutch it can be used in mild competition applications.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a clutch kit do? Why buy a performance clutch kit?
Clutch kits are used for upgrading the holding power of your factory transmission and clutch setup. If you decide to haul heavy loads or add extra horsepower to your car, you will need a high performance clutch upgrade to handle of the extra stress. You can only make a limited number of horsepower upgrades before you have to upgrade your clutch. A performance clutch gives your car the capacity to handle the increased horsepower and torque.
What all does a clutch kit include?
Most clutch kits include the clutch itself, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing and the clutch alignment tool. Flywheels are sold separately on our website.
How do you install a clutch kit?
We recommend you get a clutch kit installed by professionals since dropping the transmission is usually necessary in order to install a clutch kit. Once the transmission is off of the block, you remove your stock setup and slip on the new kit using the clutch alignment tool. It's always imperative to make sure that surface of the flywheel is as clean as possible when mounting it back up to the clutch, to prevent any slipping during shifts.

No idea what "stage" or PN is. Centerforce brands this clutch the DUAL FRICTION CLUTCH KIT. They also commonly have available a kit branded the CENTERFORCE II CLUTCH KIT, which is more of a OEM replacement clutch. Most of them contain Pressure Plate and Clutch DISC Only! The kit I have advertised for sale is complete and comes with everything you'll need to replace what you've got now.
Wondering what the advantage of a dual friction clutch is?
There is disclosed an automotive clutch in which frictional engagement faces of a clutch are provided with an organic composite facing and a sintered metal facing. By this combination, the benefits of both types of facings are obtained without any of the disadvantages that formerly plagued the use of these facings. In the invention, the organic composite facing provides the low temperature service for the clutch with a suitably high coefficient of friction which is relatively constant from ambient to several hundred degrees F. The sintered metal facing provides high temperature service for the clutch. Thus, when the organic composite facings reach their maximum service temperature of around 500 degrees F., the sintered metal facings provide their optimum coefficient of friction, resulting in a subassembly in which the overall or average coefficient of friction remains substantially constant from ambient temperatures to the maximum service temperature of the sintered metal coatings, in excess of 900-1800 degrees F. The result, when incorporated in an automotive clutch, is a clutch having a very smooth, non-vibrational action which does not exhibit premature wear and failure.
