I'm really hoping to start the orders on the 2nd or 3rd week of Nov.I ordered all the fasteners today.Larrs

Sorry guys! Here's the news. The quote I got back in June has been raised by 50%,making my cost hard to reach. The extra work of a polished and 8 counter bored holed ring adds to that cost,as well, the price of aluminum is right up.With me,supplying the hardware and shipping cost I have no choice but to add 20% more to the cost. That brings it to $60 CAD for the rings.Again sorry for the jacking of the price, but I'm real new to this kind of thing.Larrs

$61.88USD, shipping to the U.S. is like $10-$12 for customs.

tempting Larrs, but you'll probably get half of us with that price. so keep me as interested. i know interested is stupid but i don't have a job right now 02.gif sorry to clutter up your thread but who is your source? perhaps you can bargain with them.

I'm talking to a CNC shop right now about something else. Do you want me to ask him about pricing on these? Would you trust me with the file? Of course I won't tell him what it's for.

Wow, I can't believe you asked for that file. I'm offended and I didn't do any of the work put in by him. Let him have his few bucks man.

Dang... $61.88... + 12 for customs.... Can we lower the price any by not polishing them? I can polish mine on my side. $50 is expensive, but worth it for this thing. But once we start getting into that high of a number, that's too much.... I can't hang with that price man.

Alright everybody I'm droping the ball on this project.I'm going to put a pencil drwg of the ring in the DIY.This project went from a dream to a nightmare in a single day.Due to my new cost and lower interest,I have no choice, but to let this go.JonGTR you can copy the drwg from the DIY post and maybe you can have better luck.Larrs

I asked, so I could get him a better quote from a different CNC company. I specifically said that I wouldn't rip him off in the way you're suggesting.
And btw, I work with cad all day. If I wanted, it would take me a couple minutes to draw it up, and then start making these myself. But I wouldn't undermine him like that. Just as I wouldn't want someone to do that with the project I'm about to make.
