No, not at all.
BUT, bigger oil filter = bigger capacity, bigger capacity = more oil, more oil = more effective cooling and lubrication.
One of the big benefits of oil cooler and remote filter mounts is the extra capacity.

The Wix filters I saw Redz talking about in the shoutbox are very good. We use those at the shop. We actually use Napa filters but they are the Wix.
The OEM Hyundai oil filters are equally as top quality as the Wix. They are a very good looking filter.</div>
Cut one in half so we can see it mang. I'd like to compare it to the CUT IN HALF FILTERS IN THE WEBSITE I LINKED ABOVE.
LOL

bought 6 quarts of mobil 1 5w30 EXTENDED PERFORMANCE and a mobil 1 EP filter for 31$ with tax.. the mobil 1 EP is good for 15,000 miles, so thats about a years worth of driving for me on one oil change and only 31$.. pretty sweet deal if you ask me.</div>
Good deal. So with this filter I can put it on and just change the oil for the next 15K miles, but not the filter?
Cool...
I just love the fact I'm not losing oil anymore.

I'll have to get to autozone and pick up a few changes worth, although I was considering changing to royal purple.
I have been using mobil 1 oil filters for years now, awesome quality, I like the 0-ring seal instead of the standard rectangular one. FYI: Mobil 1 used to make m1-105 filters that had the same thread size and gasket diameter, but were about 1/2-3/4" larger diameter than the 104's. I slightly modified my alternator and it fit. I think they discontinued them though. Just thought I would share.
I got a 6 pack of the 104's on ebay once for like 42 shipped, it was a great deal, but haven't found them like that since.
Thanks for the info redz.
