ya you have to add in the two gaskets. wouldnt you need to use the two gaskets on any spacer you bought? i would think so.

well if you run a search for my name you will see a thicker one we were discussing in which you wouldnt have.

but you would still have to factor in the stock gaskets because they make up a bigger percent of the change when dealing with a 2mm one instead of a 3mm one.

yah, my calculations were fuxored.. i would have to do the math.. but optimal CR for using a bandaide gasket/plate would be like 9.5:1.. 8.5:1 woudl be optimal if you were using pistons and boosting Mad power, but with a decomp. plate you dont wanna push major psi, so going to 8.5:1 compression would make you lose too much power, that you could easily have with higher compression, and still run safely.

^^^my thoughts exactly.

i think 8.5 is too low, which is why i got a boner when i saw the .9mm one for 95 bucks, but alas, more money has to apparently be invested into it to make it work to its potential.

but anywho, lets stop cluttering this thread with that stuff. but my .55mm per drop in compression can be used as a rough guide(ignores the actual change in volume of the cylinder) to find comp. after this is installed. just make sure that for all decomp plates that you factor in the thickness of the stock gaskets that will need to be used to make it work.

you should be fine with the stock compression for anything less than 10psi just as long as you've got a good tune

Heck, if someone sent be a good dxf of the spacer I could cut a few out on the CNC laser I have at work out of some good 304 stainless and they would come out perfect, any thickness you want.

well i dont think i wanna take any chances, i figure id go ahead and lower the compression....so with that in mind what would be a good thickness/CR for maximum boost on stock internals

really.. could you use a .dwg drawing? or just .dxf? i could draw them up really quick, i just need to go buy a head gasket. how much would you charge for one? i am really interested..
