That seems like a high final price for the condition it's in.

Not at all. The SE with 50k is worth 7k by private party in excelent condition.

The only damage is the radiator core support, radiator, 1 fender, 1 clear corner, 1 headlight, and the hood. Everything else is in good working condition.

Oh, I need new tires too...

I could fix it, get it painted and still make money off of it if I were to sell it... which I am not.

But I've seen RD2s on ebay with under 60k miles that look brand new go for $4,000, and ones with 70-80k miles go in the low $3,000s. I think it was very high for ebay, especially since there could be serious frame damage. You just can't know. Locally, where BB value is more strictly adhered to, you might be right. I don't think that qualifies as excellent condition, even before the wreck damage. But I wish you luck in repairing it.

BB on my car was almost $8k when I bought it, I paid under $5k on ebay. (Although I got completely screwed by a dishonest seller who misrepresented it, and have had to pay so many thousands to fix problems that it was a bad deal, and I hope he burns in Hell for all eternity, but what the hey. I'm not bitter.)

Well, I will have a 50k RD2 with a fresh coat of paint for under 5k, so its all good.

I have the car at my house. No frame damage, just radiator core support which is not a big deal.

I would'nt of bought it if it was not a project car wink1.gif

Oh yea, I need to get it 2 oem sideskirts too... not like that will put me over budget.

Hrmm, I will definitally consider that. First I will look in my local yards, because I can get the parts dirt cheap. If I cannot find one in good condition, I will take you up on that. It might be a month before I start buying parts because I got some bills comming up in the near future that my next paycheck is going to.

Actually, I would need the following to get this running:

2 stock sideskirts
1 hood
1 passengers side fender
1 passengers headlight
1 Radiator core support
1 radiator
1 front bumper cover
1 Stock fans (or I could use the stockers off my other car cause I have FAL-220's sitting in my room).

You already have it? Damn that was fast.

Frame damage would have been my biggest fear, nice to know it really is only the support. Even if you call and talk to the seller, and have lots of photos, it's hard to know if they are honest and the car doesn't have some hidden problems. I hope it works out for you, the main items you need should be relatively inexpensive.

Yea, I picked it up that saturday following the auction.

I checked it out before I handed him the money. If anything did not match the description (ie frame damage) I would of refused payment but I would of given him the money that e-bay charges for the auction (out of good measures and to keep a good feedback rating).

Frame damage was a concern. Looking at how the bumper did not actually crack was my sign that it was a slow speed accident. It is definitally easily fixable.

Here's to another tib saved from the scrap yard beerchug.gif

My other tib does not have a sunroof.... so this is a nice change.

The main reason I wanted another car (and what better car to get) is because I still take classes at college in center city (philly). It is not a place you want to leave a hooked up car. This was preventing me from doing the work I want to the tib. Now I can take my time and do it right. I think its worth it fing02.gif
