2001 2.0L Engine Part Out
I have a 2001 2.0L engine pulled from an automatic tiburon. It has 90k miles on it. I stole the good head off to swap with my bad head (broken timing belt). The engine was in running condition, just needs a new head or this head rebuilt (couple of the valves are seized up). I can sell the engine as a whole, or strip it for whatever parts you guys need (would be much easier to ship this way).
I have no idea how much these parts go for, so throw me some offers. I'll let it go dirt cheap; I just want to get it out of my garage. I'll give it 2 weeks, then I'm tossing everything in the dumpster.
- Main engine block - crankshaft spins freely
- Upper head - needs a new valve job. Camshafts/chain are good, nice and tight.
- Intake manifold with fuel rail and fuel injectors
- Valve cover - no cracks
- Timing belt covers - no cracks
- Spark plug cover - no cracks
- Oil pan - good, no leaks
- Spark plug distributor
- All pulleys are there
- Several sensors/hoses/etc.
If you're worried about my reputation, check out my ebay seller account for positive feedback: onecrazyfoo4u2. If it makes you feel more comfortable, I can list on ebay. Just trying to avoid the fees of doing that. Thanks!

Sure, i'd love to build a spare engine. I've got the head already . . . just cut everyone not within driving distance a $140 break on shipping which is what it would cost to freight-ship a thing as big as an engine...then throw the engine in free...
Call a recycler, at least. That's too much scrap metal to just pitch in the landfill without trying to have someone salvage the material.

I guess I'll just be calling the scrap yard to see how much I'll get for it. Sucks to let this all go down to metal shavings...
Nobody wants a spare intake/head/main block to trick out?
