1998 Hyundai Accent-Beta Swapped and Turbocharged
I'm scaling down my hobbies, so some cars must go. Up for sale is my 1998 Hyundai Accent. The car is a base model with no power steering, or air conditioning. The car currently has 144,000 miles on it. The body is in great condition with no rust on it. Current modifications are as follows:
1. 1998 Hyundai Tiburon BetaI motor with 36,000 miles
2. 1998 Hyundai Accent Alpha transmission with 42,000 miles
3. Clutchmasters Stage 3 Clutch
4. Stock resurfaced flywheel
5. Mercedes Benz T3 turbocharger
6. Sparco intercooler
7. HKS SSQ blow off valve (real one)
8. Full 2.5" mandrel bent turbo back exhaust with:
Catalytic converter
Flexpipe
Glasspack
9. 1998 Hyundai Tiburon 2.0l ECU
10. New front rotors and brake pads.
12. New rear brake pads, wheel cylinders, hardware kit, and drums.
13. New 13" tires
14. Turbonetics Delta wastegate with 5psi spring and open dumptube
15. Automoter boost gauge
16. New battery
17. New alternator
18. Walbro 190lph fuel pump
19. Tbolt clamps and 3-ply couplers
Motor has perfect compression across the board at 210psi in each cylinder. The car runs well, and the transmission shifts without any grinds. The car starts and drives fine but will need three things to be perfect.
I was going to get a boost gauge installed at a electronics shop, to make a long story short they drilled through the firewall into the engine harness for the car. I've fixed most of the wiring, but the IAT needs two wires soldered to it. I will fix that before its sold. It will also need a new front oxygen sensor and a starter. I have an extra starter, but have not had time to install it. When the starter gets hot, the plunger inside it will not allow it to be restarted.
I have all the invoices from the parts/work done on the car. I have other things on my plate and I don't have time to enjoy the project anymore. This car will make someone very happy.
I'm asking $2,000 for the entire car. If you have any questions please feel free to post them here or sent me a PM. I post regularly on EXD and RDT and have excellent eBay feedback.
