Zoned, it does not matter WHAT kind of RD. Both generations are Mechanically IDENTICAL.

the exhuasts had some very minor changes in the 2000 model year(flanges), and the intake portion had a couple of REVISIONS......but everything in and ON the block itself is swappable to ANY year BETA 1 engine. Well at least the 1.8 and 2.0 versions, of course the deisel doesnt count, and since there aren't many (if any) 1.6L in north america or Korea they are usually ommited.

Of course a search would have gotten the answers I just posted in much less time than it took me to post.
