Good friend sent this to me. We were comparing accidents between the events we attended. I was at Willow Springs Raceway, CA - NASA Race Event and he was at Laguna Seca Raceway, CA - SCCA.
I had a Formula TR pile-up in a ditch and he had, well... this

um.. ok so it was funny. at first im thinkin ok thats it? then all the other drivers start hitting him. the whole time you see the guy'ss head bobbing back and forth through the whole thing.
People who complain about safety precautions usualy have never been in a serious accident. My seatbelt more than likely saved my life. I rolled a Dodge Ram pick up truck 4 times ending with the drivers side suspended in the air. My belt had to be cut for me to crawl out onto the top ( side) of the truck. There will always be a case where a seatbelt does more harm than good but that is rare to say the least. When hitting the track , rules aside, it's just common sense to wear a helmet and harness.
F-that, that shyt isn't funny at all. I would be friggin pissed off that some idiot (white striped miata in front of him) can't drive. You can see him cut the corner too tight and go into the dirt (spraying your friends car with rocks/debris). Then he kicks it sideways and ultimately causes your friend's car to get fvked (like he says in the video, lol).
How much damage was done to his car? Sounded like he couldn't shift out of first.
Was it his daily? (saw what looked like a radar detector).
I never let anyone ride in my car without a seatbelt and I firmly believe in all the necessary safety equip. If it wasn't for my seatbelt I would have probably smacked the telephone pole that I hit (at 40-50 mph) with my face instead of walking away with no injuries (knock on wood).

nah. this was a spec miata. no daily.
it's expected to happen every once in a while in racing. especially in this competitive and crowded of a group of cars. this was on the eat coats somewhere, NASA event..
I'm not sure what the total damage was, but damn does it look nasty from the inside.
I have a whole bunch of east coast NASA miata and rx7 spec races on video on file on the comp. some cool shit to watch when you're bored.

thats crazy because i was in a serious accident with no belt and i think if i had one i would have broken my collar bone for sure. i hit a median in the highway head on at 90mph, fliped the back of the car up and over and i fliped 2 times to the other side of the highway. crawled out the wreck and turned down an ambulance, but maybe its because i was in a benz.... after then i dont like wearing seat belts.

suit yourself, but the rest of us will continue to use them..
and I'm talking about "racing" or when you're on the track. you need safety equipment built into the car before you go, and this is why..
crashing head on into a highway median at 90mph is just plain scary (and retarded), how'd that happen. it takes a while to get to 90, benz' don't steer or something?

no i was being a jackass and i like most young benz owners i lost mine being stupid. i'm not going to go into details but i shouldnt have been doing what i was doing so....but it was definatly scary, as soon as i lost cotrol i just figured i was going to die. god saved my ass on that one
the benz was quick for what it was though, 1993 190e the last year before they renamed it to "C" class
