Seems to me that every form of motor racing takes a lot of skill to be good at but what type do you think requires the most skill overall?

I'd have to go with WRC. They have to have crazy reaction times and always be on point when going over 100mph through hairpin curves on dirt, snow, asphalt, gravel or whatever.

agree. people say F1 is a skill. okay, but you're in a controlled environment with amberlampses. anything at the limits of danger and unexpected is the top for me.

WRC has been sucking BAD since about 2003. there's nothing to prove. who cares who wins. the cars are ugly as hell too.

IMO it's really hard to tell. I think of all things it might be NASCAR. Rally is definitely the hardest to get even remotely okay at, but I don't know that it's harder to dominate there than NASCAR. NASCAR is a total waste of space, but the cars are pretty even so it takes a lot of strategic driving to actually manage to win.

In other words:

It would be very easy to be a mediocre NASCAR driver, but very hard to be great at it because it's hard to use the dumbass track to your advantage.

It would be very difficult to be a mediocre rally driver, and very very difficult to dominate. I'm just not sure that it's harder to dominate than NASCAR.

BTW, I hate NASCAR. I just see 20 people driving nearly identical cars around in a circle and think that without having a more dynamic driving environment it would be hard to come out on top regularly.
