What do you do in this situation?
Picture this scenario
- Its late at night
- You're out for a drive
- Not much traffic
- Dry conditions
- No on in your rearview or in front of you
- No cars on the opposite side
- You're at a stop light and a riced out car pulls up next to you revving
You have about 5 seconds to make a decision on what to do when the light turns green.
1....2......3..........4..............5.....GO!
What do you all do?

i'd never race from a light... at most, i would rev up and take up kind of quick, but then let off at the higher end of first gear and LOL..
usually I would laugh at them and just pretend I didn't see them.
I haven't 'raced' since I was a young punk in the tiburon.. even then, I would never 'race' from a light, always would be at ~45mph or more. and then, was usually like a 45-70mph pull and that was it.

I would most likely race them to the speed limit (45 or 55) then let off the gas. I'll race to the speed limit, I'm not doing 100+ down a city street.
I'd do it 7 out of 10 times if they were high school kids
I'd do it 3 out of 10 times if I thought they'd beat me
It actually happened to me a few weeks ago, but it was a GK Tiburon. Since it was a Hyundai, I had to do it, but we went from a 30 roll. Afterwards I found out he had just swapped his i4 A/T for a V6 M/T. He held with me almost the whole way.
