Trap Speed Vs Et ?
#1
lets discuss the relation between trap speed and ET. Is there any relation at all? does a specific trap speed usually indicate a specific ET? If you have a high ET with a high Trap what does this usually indicate? what about the vice versa?
anyone else got questions, feel free to ask and discuss.

There is a relation between trap and ET, but it isnt a rule.
Two cars can run the same ET but have 5-6mph different trap speeds. You can also have the same trap and different ETs.
Its got alot to do with traction and shifting in the beginning of the run. If you get a low 60' you can see an ET with a relatively low trap.
which is why alot of FWD drag cars see really high trap speeds compared to a RWD drag car running the same ET.

Ye, generally cars with the same drivetrain (FWD, RWD...) and relatively same gearing that run the same ET will generally run the same quarter.
If you have high ET with high trap.... your having traction problems. high et low trap your bogging at the top end, or you broke something halfway down the track.
