Default Spirited Driving

It seems whenever someone talks about or posts a kill story of themselves romping on it on the street, tons of people bash them for driving like an "idiot" on a public road. Who here actually NEVER speeds or gets on it? Don't most people have a favorite backroad to tear up?

I'm not saying go break the law or advocating speeding on public roads. But seriously, this is a forum for car enthusiasts that modify their cars to go faster, handle better, and hopefully to stop better. I do take my car to the track, but that doesn't mean I don't have some favorite backroads and/or never mash the throttle anywhere else. Speeding around town, weaving in/out of traffic, and any sort of driving that immediately endangers others is intolerable. However, a barren road in the middle of nowhere can create a heavy right foot.

My Tiburon is fairly tame even at full throttle. Therefore my accelerator pedal meets my floorboard pretty much every time I have to drive somewhere.

Also there is this really nice set of right/left bends on my way to work..... yeah.

There's a time and a place

Here it's as much about avoiding cops as anything, our street racing/burnout laws are as harsh as ever.

Where I live, speeding 50km/h over the posted limit is considered racing, and will get your car impounded, your license suspended and a MASSIVE FINE. I can enjoy driving my car without being an idiot.

yup it sucks. depending on where you get it a mere 30km/h over ticket will get you bent over and thoroughly sodomized by your insurance company.
