The relevance of Stock Category
If you used to run in Stock, why did you go to another category? Did Stock drive you away? If so, what part about Stock drove you away?
Did another category offer you something more attractive? If so, what is that more attractive feature?
Would you consider returning to Stock? What would it take?
What can Stock do to be more attractive to newcomers (this might be a different answer than your own personal view, above)?

The stock class is for people looking to have some fun without spending a bunch of $$$$
People probably end up leaving the stock class because they get the racing bug and want to go faster so they mod their car. Then they can't compete in the stock class anymore.

Actually, it's quite the opposite.
In Stock, full slicks are allowed and shocks are essentially unrestricted. A few other key things can be changed also.
It's dumb to call it stock really. Unless you show up with slicks and at least several thousand dollars worth of exotic shocks you'll never be competitive at the national or regional level, probably not at the local level either unless nobody there is taking stock seriously.
There is no free lunch. Stock is where a lot of the most competitive drivers are who throw a lot of money into their setup because modifications are limited.
