Default Rally or Drifting?

Hyundai's roots are in WRC, but with the Genesis coupe out now they are in the Drifting circuit with Rhys Millen. Which do you guys like better...Rally or Drifting? I prefer Rally personally and think it takes more skill to be a rally driver than a drifter. Just my

Prefer is a strong word.

I think drifting is a better spectator sport.

I also think that to be an excellent drifter requires as much natural talent as being an excellent rally driver. It might not appear so, but really IMO drifting is part motorsport, part performance art. So the two talents are vastly different. Being a decent drifter is much easier than being a decent rally driver though. It only equals out at the very top.

I have been lucky enough to go to Formula Drift events as well as GRC events, both with Rhys Millen driving Hyundais.

Sadly the closest GRC event for next year is at the X Games in Socal. Doubt I will make it to that. I will hopefully get out to see some of the local rally racing this year. I would try my hand at it if I didn't already have all my racing budget for 2012 committed to autox, lapping, and time attack events.

Drifting is more impressive, I guess. I still strongly enjoy watching rally though, and the great thing is that grass roots rallies are just as fun to watch as high end WRC!
