So ok, this may be a dumb question but do NASCAR, F1, and other types of racers get to have a special licenses that show they can drive a car at high speeds? I know speeding is illegal and dangerous no matter where you do it, but you would think those guys would have some special thing on their licenses that say they speed and drive dangerously for a living. Or am I being retarded? lol

No, they don't get a "license to speed".

IHRA and NHRA require you to get a physical and some other stuff to get an IHRA/NHRA license. I don't remember the E.T. break that requires it though. I have never heard of anything for any other auto racing organizations but I am sure there are some out there.

If I remember correctly you have to get a new IHRA/NHRA license every two years.
