Oil changes and track days
Opinions and advice requested.
Does everyone change their oil after every track day? I do drive it hard and I use Mobil 1 synthetic, but it's difficult for my brain to accept the fact that the oil is done after 1 track day, when it can go 3,000 regular miles before changes. I certainly don't want to damage my engine, as I love my car, but this habit can get too expensive too quick since I plan to enter a few track days this summer.

A top fuel drag engine has an oil change after every pass. The engines are also completely torn down and rebuilt, because they are trashed. NASCAR and F1 rides go through multiple sets of tires per race. Racing is hard on stuff, and expensive. Change your oil.
