My First Day At The Track
#1
Went to the track today for the first time ever. Had a great time! Well it was hot as hell today so for most of it I was running around 16.5 but once it started to get darker and the air temp got lower I ran a 16.244. My buddy that went with me was running a 2002 celica gt and his best time was 16.301
All in all it was a good day. my car ran right at what I was thinking it would considering my mods and my limited experience. if anyone has any track tips or stories please share
my best run went as follows
R/T ... .690 (crap I know)
60' ... 2.394
330 ... 6.774
1/8 ... 10.434
MPH ... 67.29
1000 ... 13.579
1/4 ... 16.244
MPH ... 84.35

what do you have done to your car. That's similar to my first time at the track, cept my first reaction time was like 2.sumthin. LMAO.... but I got it cut in half the next time and half again, then I just started going on yellow and started to get .102 and such. You gotta almost "cheat" and anticipate the green, practice when it doesn't count just in case you false start.

That's actually a pretty good time considering your 60' was almost a 2.4 fing02.gif
If you can invest in some drag radials and hit a 2.0-2.1, then you'll see mid-high 15's.

I never pressed clutch all the way. I found a sweet spot in the middle where I could change gears and don't take too long.

I also took out my spare tire and subs</div>
You should be in min 15s with those mods man. Get traction!!! Learn how to launch!!!
