that's not a bad time. what do you have done to your car?

 

Yeah i know my 60ft time is horrible. It seems like i over did the burnout and when i tried to take off there was just too much traction and the car bogged. I tried launching from 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000 and the finally 5500rpm without sucess. Car just bogged down in revs and that was my run ruined. I just wanted so badly to get a low 2.0 or 2.1 sec 60ft like ive seen my mates do in their hondas with semi slicks sad.gif Next time i will be doing only a little warmup burnout.

mods were:
4-1 PSC headers
2.5" cat/engine pipe/cat back with OEM R33 Skyline GTST muffler(quiet like stock)
standard airbox with CAI
chipped ecu
kspec underdrive pulley

 

what are your mods? I just realized that you had semi-slicks... wtf is it in the first place? Never heard of those. Drag radials maybe?

I'm not sure how those kumhos work, but usually you warm it up until it starts smoking and then for a few more seconds, then just dump the clutch as high as your car can take it without spinning. Start with 5k.

 

I had the standard michelin pilot SX on my previous outings. I couldnt take off very hard but wheelspin managed to get me off the line cleanly and resulted in a best of a 2.2XX sec 60ft.

The kumho v70a are a Australian only tyres i think specs

 

what mods do you have??? It's funny how you got better times with street tires.

Do what I told you to do next time.

 

I dont think i will be doing such a long warmup burnout anymore. The tyres are getting way to sticky and im bogging down. Hell.. ill try to even run them without a warmout burnout which should at least get me a et closer to my PB.

Every-so-often I see Choong's GK cruising around (kinda hard to miss)... Where abouts in Sydney are you?

 

He listed mods after I made a new post and I never went back up to see his edited post.

With those mods I definitely see you in low 15s maybe even 14s. Good luck next time.
