Default Head and neck restraints

Anyone have a separate head and neck restraint for the track or autox course? At what point is a helmet and seatbelt not enough and the restraints are needed?

1) when you don't feel safe or

2) when the sanctioning body requires a HANS

whichever occurs soonest, that's when you get a restraint.

I'm all for a HANS device, absolutely.

However, you MUST dimension it properly, otherwise it is just going to do harm. Just like a harness or airbag really.
