Yeah, either LSD or solid diff... Solid seems more likely, the top wheel was spinning at about the same speed, plus it's way cheaper.

Yah they most likely just welded it, pretty neat stuff ive seen it done (on video) a few times, more of driving skill than anything, but cool to watch
