So first time ever out at the track I was the only front wheel drive out and the only 4 banger. They all laughed when I came and they all respected me when I left.I did 7 runs,3 wins 3 losses and 1 solo run.I feel real good about the whole day.Larrs

you did good man fing02.gif
don't really know if you had good times or not (not my scene) but all i know is when you won, you won, simple as that. going 50/50 against V8's and V6's is not bad at all.

Good job for the first time man.
60 foots are high, but it is summertime so track temperatures are gonna be high, makes it tough for us.
Get those down, and you could see some near flat 10s.

ya thanks for the comment,I still feel good about the win against the Malibu as he beat me in race 1 and 2.It was the 7th race and my last for the day.

yup I figure I need one of those lights for shifting, set it 5500 rpm and the light goes on.Even though I warmed up the tires before each race,I still spun the tires at the starting line.I'm sure it's cause I'm over doing it.Thanks for your comment,It felt really good being the only 4cyl and holding my own.

2nd gear is a bad idea. I don't know where he'd get that at. You also don't need to burnout unless your running drag tires. 1st gear ~2k and try not to spin. shift at around 6k or just before.

Hi thanks for the advice.I was for sure up in the 4800 to 5000 rpm range.I'll drop that for sure. The warming up the tires was really for everybody else.Looks cool, smoke coming from the front. My first time out ever in anything at the drag strip. The "Tibur 1" was impressive!
