I met Juan/Turbo Wax at Nopi, it's funny as hell hearing him talk like this here.
Anyways, he knows the guys from La Pulga down in PR, who do you think he's talking about?

Random does not have a website
Red did..
hyundaiproject.com
You can view his project there. Dont bother emailing him, he wont answer. His car has not started in about over a year (engine is in perfect condition).
Speed Camp
They dont have a site... although guess whos car was parked next to the drag tiburon some moons ago wink1.gif
My car even spent the night with it banana2.gif
lmao.gif
Anyways.. i know the shop that did the tuning. I can give you contact info if you like.
As far as the Drag tiburon. They used the mitsu based 4g63 engine (with the hyundai label). Get one from an excel (or get a built block and reuse the valve cover)...
I recommend you go that route. R&D will be cheaper... since youll be playing with a mitsu engine (more aftermarket support) and you could essentially have AWD if you wanna go that route.
Just a thought...
Its what they did, except they stuck with the FWD tranny.
Also keep in mind, hyundais were mainly used for rally racing. You might wanna research the Libra Rally Racing team...
Hyundais had strong support in Austrailia and Korea.
NINJA EDIT
he knows la pulga?
Do you know onpol? I havent heard from that fvcker in years... last thing he told me was that he was going to keep the tiburon and trick out the Evo as well.
I wonder what he did with my differential... he never did send me pics.

Thank you guys, pardon my ignorance nana.gif but I been told that we should purchase a 2003 -2005 Tiburon as the castings are much stronger ?
I don't know the different models or engine types, Beta etc etc 02.gif
Indeed the guys from the "La Pulga Camp" will assist us, we flew the main guy a month ago or so for a NHRA event to iron the details
how do I post a picture ? duh_1.gif

Not that much of a difference between the newer and older blocks..
The main difference still lies in the head. Older betas have HLAs. Newer betas have Shims...
[IMG]put link of picture here followed by the /img thing with the brackets seen below.

Vehicle: N/A as in Not Applicable, not Naturally Aspirated
well you came to the right spot. LOl, you should make a thread dedicated to us helping you with your questions on your Nopi Drag Tiburon Project.
A centralized place for all updated info on the build, new questions, new pictures, a place for out comments, etc. I thik it'd be a cool idea...prob end up being like 15 pages long.....
