1/4 mile run
Hello, good evening
A couple of days ago I did around 3-4 1/4 mile runs and I just want your opinion
So here are the results:
60ft - 2.77sec @ 45.5km/h
330' - 6.93sec @ 89.7 km/h
1/8mile - 10.45sec @ 112.9 km/h
1000' - 13.44sec @ 131.0 km/h
1/4 mile - 15.97sec @ 142.4 km/h ~ 88mph
I don't know why my 60ft were that bad ?!? Toyo R1R tires...maybe the road ... I'm not sure.
What do you think my times will be if I manage to lower my 60ft times?
p.s. I'm still waiting for my friend to open the dyno so I can tune my car with the Neo.

that is probably one of the worst 60 foot times ive ever seen posted on this site
and you had R1Rs??!? its def the driver then....
i got a 2.1 60 foot with shitty ass kumho tires back in the day, you def need to work on your launch
get that down to a 2.0-2.2 and expect a MINIMUM of a half second off the total time
how are you launching?
when are you shifting?
how much air in the tires?
whats the altitude there?
your trap speed should be good for low 15s at least

TibbyTurbo no nitrous on that run.
faithofadragon I know that my 60' time is really bad, but I'm not sure that it's my fault. It's not a track, it's a normal road, temp. around 5C/40F. Maybe you are right that I need to work on my launch, cause first it was clutch break-in after that engine break-in and was driving like a granny for the last months
Launching at 3000rpm dump the clutch and full throttle
Shifting at 6500rpm
Not sure, it should be around 2.3bar/33psi
Altitude is around 50m
I hope you're right that I can hit low 15s with this setup
It looks too good to be true, cause all my mods are: 1.8cam, cai, PPIM, head is also ported, exhaust with stock header,6 puck ceramic clutch, fuel pump from GST and running pig rich. Hitting 10s from ~4500 to redline !!! Apexi neo installed and ready to be tuned.
By the way I'm using dynolicious to perform those tests.

It will cost me a lot of $$$ to go to a real track. It's around 400km from here and a liter of petrol costs close to 2$ ! For the moment I'm not willing to pay that amount of money for 2-3 1/4mile runs
I was also skeptic about dynolicious, but I've tested a lot of cars right after dyno runs and believe me or not the results were almost identical ! 2-5hp difference I think it's pretty impressive. Also check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-DFbJQbeSY
Today I'll make some onboard videos and 1/4 mile runs see what happens

you are being tested using the on board g sensor of the phone instead of a laser timing light
again dont ask us for advice if you arent going to actually get a accurate reading regardless of how far it is
i once drove 250 miles to a track that was of lower elevation than the one that was 10 miles away from where i lived just to see how much air density messed with my car and that was in a vehicle that required premium fuel and got roughly 20mpg
go to the track if you want to find out how fast you run a track....its just logical

Agreed, dynolicious numbers are WACK
My friend has that on his iPhone and insisted on testing every one of our mates' cars, and they all produced wildly inaccurate numbers.
Get two friends with stopwatches, and a trundle wheel. That is almost free and will give you a more accurate idea of your car's performance.
