This was a matchup between the Tib (Fujita intake, SSA catback) and a friend's grandmother's 02 XG350L. The XG is stock, has the 3.5l V6 rated at 194hp, and is an automatic. I've got the 2.7l and the 6 speed.
This was of course filmed on a closed road in Bolivia.

I was actually on snow tires so I had to be really gentle on the launch or they would just spin uncontrollably. The result was that we stayed pretty even through first, but I pretty much walked away once I shifted to second. We didn't figure it would be that close, but it was fun to find out.
