All you resident Evil fans, what did you think of the movie? I thought it was awesome! Although they got caught up in 3D alot but still the movie was very enjoyable.
Those who are going to see it, DON'T RUSH OUT of theaters after credits appear. A MAJOR Clue is given after few minutes of credits! wink.gif

i'm still not sure why people like this movie. any movies directed by Paul Anderson i consider terrible. he's a terrible writer/director. so bad that i knew his "Death Race" remake was going to SUCK when i heard he was in the process of filming it. the only thing is, i didn't know it would be the absolute WORST movie i've ever only stood 5 minutes of watching. what a headache, and horrible acting, disgraceful script.
wikipedia why they aren't true to the original story (if it's not, why call it Resident Evil when it has absolutely nothing to do with it?): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resident_Evil...ory_development (look under pre-production)
George Romero (creator of Night of the Living Dead) re-wrote the original plot. he should have directed it. you can find the script online too. some German franchise who knew nothing about the games bought out the rights to this and turned it into this bunch of crud. it's a sellout, money talks. it's a bunch of bullsh_t because they wanted profit.
rotten tomatoes rarely lets me down. they only gave it 20% rating.

"More insulting than the stereotyping and the horrifying horror clichés is the fact that the formulaic tale even has the nerve to end on a cliffhanger, setting us up for yet another sequel. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me five times? I don't think so." LMAO.
if it was called anything different then Resident Evil, i wouldn't have such a problem. but this completely tainted the massive successful game series. i'm embarrassed to even say i like Resident Evil anymore.

movie was decent i give it a 7 stars
was thinking about it and 3d movies not only bring in a added "premium" it also prevents people from bootlegging your sh*t
good idea i guess
im such a nerd when they were showing the preview of "saw3d" i read it in leet speak (i was like WHY WOULD YOU NAME THE FINAL MOVIE SAWED)
and no sh*t hkc it doesnt follow the plot there isnt a "alice" in any of the games lol this movie reminded me TOO much of left 4 dead

I liked it, cause I'm a fan of the movies and the games. But, it wasn't the best of the bunch. IMO, they did more work with the 3d crap than the movie details itself. Basically, by the middle you're thinking "ok, we get it, it's 3D. Stop throwing it in our faces already!"

i have to apologize for the negativity here, but this has been a disappointing for me since i loved and lived the first games. and it's not good to dwell on it i know but it's just saddening how many people fall for this bullcrap. just because it's titled "Resident Evil" it reels people in. these people have no clue what real movies are about, instead they go to theaters to see something in 3D only for that.
3D my butt. what happened to going to the movies because a movie has an incredible plot, great actors and acting, original score for the ages to remember (like John William's Star Wars theme that EVERYONE knows). R.E. is supposed to be a cult classic, not a ninja shooter.
this movie is the of the degradation of capitalist society and the film industry, and the despair of cheap temporary entertainment made for short attention spans. 0 stars for destroying a perfectly good name.

So, HKC, let me get this straight... You went to see RE3D expecting an artistic tour de force? I go to movies like this to see hot chicks (Milla and Ali) shooting stuff and other stuff blowing up. That's it. Don't care one whit about character development or plot.

awesome Visionz!! that's funny.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>You went to see RE3D expecting an artistic tour de force?</div>
hahaha. unfortunately thanks to the rise in value of diarrhea smear art, bootlegging, and maybe a poor economy, my expectations have come down to the point of looking for someone to agree with me?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>That's it. Don't care one whit about character development or plot.</div>
so every movie now requires shaking cameras, hot ninjas, and blowing fake CGI sh:t up in order to watch? Paul Anderson destroyed the Mortal Kombat movies for eternity. you don't see MK marathons on TV do ya? so in a few years R.E. will be forgotten just like the MK movies. this and anything that happens from here on means absolutely nothing to R.E.'s current film audience, it means this thread to its original fans.
it's more about being true to the original than anything. it was one of the creepiest games ever made in the history of gaming. R.E. doesn't deserve such a massive clueless random audience. you don't see hardcore people being created from these new crap franchise. well, except for Twilight... uh and New Moon rolleyes.gif Paul Anderson stole Resident Evil from hardcore people like me, and gave it to you all.

No, he criticized the first RE movie after seeing it. Then payed to see RE2 just so he could say how bad that one is. Then payed to see RE3 just to see how bad that one is. Then again payed to see RE3D..........
If I hated a movie that bad, I don't think I'd pay to see the next 3 sequels. BangHead.gif
Just like all the F&F haters that saw <u>ALL 4</u> of them, then complained about how unrealistic and lame they were each time. lol

i saw the first R.E. on television. saw 5 minutes of the second one on television. that was enough. i didn't bother to see the rest.
anyways, i see your point. i see that perhaps this was the only route to take. all i'm saying is historically behind the scenes Capcom literally fumbled by selling the rights after Romero turned it down. After a few months, Romero then changed his mind and by then the rights had already been sold. Capcom felt bad and granted him a commercial for R.E.2 (it is only a commercial for the game, so they wouldn't let him be gory, but it's still true):
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5vSlRrL689Y"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5vSlRrL689Y" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
and Paul Anderson is known for making terrible movies, but in the end it goes down in the books as 20% on rottentomatoes, regardless of what we think.
