The Real Reason Why Saturday Morning Cartoons Disappeared

- in the 1990's, New govt regulations limiting the amount of commercials during kids shows, thus limiting profit.
- news + sports shows were cheaper to produce than cartoons.
plus they can have more commercials because it's not a kids show.
win/win for the networks
- ratings for sat morning cartoons went down due to cable TV and channels that do cartoons 24/7.
the 5min youtube video explains a few other reasons
RIP Smurfs, Thundercats, GI Joe, Transformers

If .fed regulation f*cked up saturday morning cartoons, that's just one more reason we need a 10th Amendment Commission!

Cartoons were killed by the same thing that kills everything else good... money and the desire for more no matter how much you have.
