Yeah, I didn't need an article to know that was going on. It took me months to get a case of 1000 7.62x39 for my SKS, nearly that long to get a case of 1000 .223 for the AR-15 and Saiga, and at least 2 months to get 500 rounds of 9mm for my 995 Carbine.

I am lucky that I have a Cabela's retail store within 2 miles of my house, because if anyone has ammo it's them. Sportsman's Warehouse, Big 5, Wal-Mart, local gun stores, they're all out of ammo that's even remotely popular. Prices are through the roof when you can find ammo. I looked all over and finally Cabela's had ONE BOX of .380 ACP when I got the Sig P230. They also had just gotten in a shipment of Federal .40 S&W and had a couple of boxes of defensive rounds for it also. Aside from that there was very little ammo there at all. Most shelves were empty.

Sportsman's Warehouse is the worst though, they have about a 100 foot long 8 foot high aisle of ammo. There were 4 types of ammo on the shelf and only a couple boxes of each. It is crazy.

I'm glad I'm sitting on something like 4-5k rounds right now. I gotta pick up some more for my newer guns though.
