Correct technically that doesn't count. I mean to say the 90's generation was before any bomb/security threats and safety concerns. There were hardly any worries--it didn't really cross your mind! Also, it was less of a hassle to fly (at least internationally). That's not to say that a wake-up call with improved security wasn't good, it just wasn't the norm to expect threats back then!
