Well, except for the fact that Freddy is no longer done by Robert Englund, i'm interested. Don't know how i feel about a remake with a different voice after what was it, 8 movies? I'll give it a shot.

I like how they kind of explain how he became Freddy (being chased by the mob and burned in the building). That ssomething they always kind of just skimped out on, for the other movies.

No they didn't... There was a full explanation an several scenes explaining how his mom got pregnant, why he's nuts, how he became Freddy. You just have to watch all of the movies. I'll probably see this, but there's no way in hell it's going to be as good as the original. This looks more like a straight up horror/thriller movie. The original threw in some campy-ness for a bit of comedy.

^The best for comedy in this type of movie (IMO) was Freddy vs. Jason. That movie made me laugh my ass off!
