Apparently, Carrie Fisher has confirmed that she will return, along with Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford for J.J. Abram's Star Wars Episode VII.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I am excited that we are getting the legends back, but I am worried they will be the focus of this new trilogy. I was looking forward to a new story, but I am hopeful that the roles of these three will not be the focus of the story. I can see them playing wise old leaders, similar to Mace Windu and Yoda. I hope they don't try to make them appear younger and capable of any fight scenes. They need to accept their age and make them have a small role, but an important one. Maybe some sort of passing the torch storyline.
This is definitely huge news, and I think they can pull it off with some training. This is going to bring hype to the movies, and I am excited! I am surprised this was announced since J.J. has been quiet about any cast news so far. I can't say how accurate this source is, but I am not surprised if it's true. We can only wait and see how this movie will do.
