I only write poems when I am troubled so I don't get that much practice but here is one I wrote tonight.
The month of September will be one to remember.
A lesson to be learned when you have been burned.
The betrayal of lust will rip you apart, leaving a hole large in your heart.
I am not the only victim of this destruction for there is Alyssa to guide in the reconstruction.
The biggest pain was the tears of my daughter so I put down the pipe and became a real father.
There is no trust left in my heart so on down the road I must now depart.
The journey will be taken of coarse with my daughter but in the future there will be another.
A woman to share my heart and my soul but will that fill the hole left in September.
