Chuby's BETA swapped Getz
This is as good a place as any i guess, so here goes:
(if there's a proper place for this, i hope the moderators will take care of it)
Here's my 2002 Getz, codename 1+1 rolleyes.gif
originally, it was a 1.6 liter with 105 hp, but after a while, it just wasn't enough, so an idea was born, to create a true sleeper...
looking from the outside, it's just another Getz, lowered a bit and some 15'' wheels
but under the hood: beta.gif
15" Dotz wheels
Clarion DB178RMP HU with tweeters and speakers in the door panels, but the wiring for a full ICE has already been done so that's next on the list
Full 4-2-1 custom built exaust system, custom cat, adjustable cams, stock Beta ECU (maybe an SMT ecu soon)
lowered, custom made springs with front koni shocks, and rear shocks from a Buick lol2.gif , custom made brakes, custom air intake
before the swap, the beta got a full treatment, it was opened up and all internals were replaced with new ones, so it's pretty much a new engine
All of the work has been done by HBT Team, like any other moded Hyundai in Croatia, those guys are awesome, some of the best mods in Croatia have been done by them smile.gif that's why you see the word Custom a lot in this post wink.gif
the numbers say:
at the moment 61000 km (37900 miles) on the body and 30000 km (18650 miles) on the engine
0-60 (0-100 kph) 7.1 seconds according to g-tech with a stock gearbox, with a shorter one acceleration drops down to 6 secs, but the top speed goes down too, so i'll stick to this one
top speed unknown, my personal best was 220 km/h (137 mph) according to the tacho (220 is the last digit on it), but i don't think it's the best way to measure speed anymore, since the car was still accelerating scratchhead.gif so i'll have to find a better way to measure it
155 hp i 202 Nm (149.00 ft.lbs.)
dyno day planned for next month, so i should have some charts then...
plans for the future: nothing special, sort out some annying details, maybe reupholster the whole interior, don't like the stock plastic, maybe new seats, smoke out the headlights, and MAYBE, some day, a turbo upgrade, but we'll se about that, because i'm not sure how the car would handle since it would go over 220 hp at 0.5 bar (7.25 psi)
and that's it, keep it pretty much stock, and cruise in a true sleeper...
2 more pics, i have to do a decent photosession, maybe this weekend if i find some time to do it properly, because these are pretty old, although not much has changed..
Friend's 2.0T beta(also by HBT) i my 1+1 beta...
any thoughts and opinions are more than welcome
(if there's a proper place for this, i hope the moderators will take care of it)

the HBT team who has done the swap and all ofthe other work is an authorized hyundai dealer and service shop, so the car looks stock from every angle under the hood. some creativity was necessary, but the end result is awesome, and there is still some space left for a turbo upgrade. why a beta 1? because it was available, this isn't a new project, but the ECU is from a beta 2...there are a few more beta swaps in croatia, but mostly in tiburons and a few accents, like the tibby on the pic above, accent by one of the HBT guys who is pushing 280 hp from a 1.8 liter turbo at 1 bar constant (14.5 psi), so that might be my next item on the list
il post a few more pics of the engine bay so u guys can see how it fits
