Zombie outbreak in Home Depot!
Here's the scenario;
You're at Home Depot, you just came out of the bathroom and someone screams from the other side of the store, "It's happening, the Zombie apocalypse is happening!" What do you do, what goes through you're mind. You only have a couple minutes to prepare before a horde of infected, blood thirsty, viscous zombies.
What do you do? Do you go for the power tools? How about the hatchets or the axes?
Just something to think about next time you're in Home Depot or Lowe's. Always have an escape plan ready just in case.

Go for the big 2x4's! Anything that wont break easily, can still be carried as you're running, will do some major damage as you're swinging it, and can still do damage from a distance! wink.gif

Its too bad Home Depot doesnt sell baseball bats! That would be fun as hell!
Im sure you could rig up some kind of flame thrower too, using propane for grills and some piping. laugh.gif Then again...a flame thrower wont really stop zombies. It'll just make a flaming zombie hurl itself at you, cause you to catch on fire. tongue.gif
What about industrial sized nail guns? That could be fun too! Except you would have to carry around some kind of air compressor. Again...not the best solution when you need to get away quick.

I would go for a splitting maul. Good all around weapon and tool.
Assuming that zombies blocked my escape from the building I would either start fortifying an office (there is usually one near customer service) or fortifying the entire store depending on the level of zombie infiltration and cooperative staff/shoppers. The eventual goal would be to have the office highly fortified and the store cleared of zombies and fortified against their entry.
I would take all the food and drinks from the checkout aisles into the office as soon as it was boarded up.
If I could get out I would though. Home Depot is pretty close to my house, within relatively easy walking distance even. I would pick up my daughter from school on the way. There is a vault where my wife works so she should be safe at least until the supply of food and water ran out. I would have to get to her by then.
I would attempt to obtain a heavy duty truck of some sort for transportation. If I could get to the National Guard armory (on the way to my wife's work) I should be able to get one there. Before that point I would have to improvise.
