Here in Belgium it isn't allowed to tint the front window and the front side-windows. crazy.gif
All the back windows can be as dark as you want, as long as the car has 2 side-mirrors...
The maximum Db from the exhaust is 90 or 95 here...

I had seen this somewhere before also....I think i got a link to this at HP a long time ago.

One thing for everyone to consider before getting your windows tinted though, The glass ALREADY has some tint to it.....the numbers posted above are NET.

Meaning that in MD my 35% is actually illegal becuse with the windows tint included with the tint FILM, my windows let less than 35% of the outside light thru the window.

Also, Jalem, redo your list as a word or text doc and use the attachment feature, that should allow you to post the list with the headings and all info under each heading lined up for easy viewing.

well usually you would take off the stock film from the window then put on your new one, (they would do this if you got it installed) or are you saying that there is no film it's built in to the window?

tibwrcsbj sent a pm about the attach thing

^^^ Very good point. A lot of shops won't even mention this to you. Most cars do have some tint from the factory, even if it doesn't seem like it. You never notice until you hold a clear piece of glass next to it.
I thought I read somewhere that most cars with factory AC wil have a light tint in the glass.......though I'm not sure why AC would matter.

JalemX, most of the time it's not a film on the outside of the glass, but sandwiched in between layers.

I don't know if they do this in every state but over here, they'll tear out the tint with a razor right then and there if it's illegal.

i think i posted this on the old forum and i know i've posted it severl times on hp. some of you numbers aren't right. so if you going to get windows tinted you better check with the shop doing it. they have the updated legal numbers.
