As far as the Dem. convention goes, I don't understand how the they are praising all of the stuff they claim they did without addressing the current state of the economy as well as the tumbling national debt. Things are the worst they've ever been and ...they're basically telling us to "move forward."



I also agree that everyone should have health insurance. But not at a time like this, not in this economy and not when the Dems and Reps are so divided! Here's Paul Ryan obliterating the Obamacare plan, pointing out that it's just a big old scam that ends up costing everyone:

I suppose this is an example of why Romney picked him. After 4 years, I still do not have any idea what Joe Biden's voice sounds like except for him saying "This is a big f'ing deal."



Let me put it this way. I would be a democrat--if everyone's salaries were significantly raised (If I felt like I was earning comfortably or too much). But they're not. Nobody makes more money, in fact, they make less. So why would anybody earning the same amount or less vote for the government to pickpocket their wallets year after year?



MD Gov. Martin O'Malley said Obama is making college more affordable. He failed to mention that they're requiring students to buy health insurance in order to register, or that every year Maryland has had budget shortfalls and have shut down government resources resulting in creating new subsidized taxes such as adding more tolls on i95, tripling toll fees, riddling his state with speed cameras, bag tax, environmental tax, "flushing tax, as well as raising student tuition (all facts that O'Malley initiated). This year, the University of Maryland (his own University) was forced to shut down 8 reputable sports teams and all employees have been under furlough (1 day of every week nonpaid) for the last 2 years! And we're "moving forward"? All slogans...

I think this may be our countries biggest problem right now. Politicians are held at gunpoint to be against the other side that they will do anything to oppose what the other side does.



Dems. roll out obamacare and Reps. say it's socialism and robbing the country of everything American.



Reps. want to give tax breaks to big business and Dems. say they're killing the middle class, which will destroy everything American.



I'm waiting for some politician somewhere to make an offhanded comment about how gross yellow snow is just to see how fast the other side starts eating the stuff on camera raving about how good it tastes.



I really think that if they could stop fighting about which side is "in control" and work together a bit more they might actually be able to find some middle ground that could lead to progress.

Pretty much my feelings on the situation:

The 2 party system is a good concept, but every once in a while we need to gas one party and replace them. It saves us from becoming a 57 party country like France, but also spares us the embarrassment we've had to endure as of the past decade.
