85 s-10 4x4, 2.8 v-6, 5 speed. Had it for a week and needed a new motor. Put one in. Two months later, rebuilt the tranny. After that, major electrical problems. Sold that to pay rent. Bought a 1991 Lumina 3.1 V-6 a year later, motor seized 6 months later. No more 60 degree block chevy's for me. Went with a 75 honda cb750 for a year (minus the winter, borrowed a truck) and caught the bike on fire. Went another year without a car, then got the 2001 tib. First car ever with no problems.
Also had an 87 Dodge Ram 50 with a 2.6 I-4, 5 speed, for a couple years before the s-10. Bought that from the rents, so, I don't count that as buying it myself ($500). It was beat to hell before I got it, but it was the best domestic I have ever owned.

My first car, was actually a minivan.. a 1988 Aerostar, that I got for free.. so I didnt' complain much.. even though, thru the ages it went from a 7 seater to a 3 seater..
The 99SE(cdn ver) was my first car I bought on my own, and was paid for in 2 weeks.. The only regret I have, was not buying it new..

My first car was a 75 Bug. Had it for 3 days and the steeringwheel came off in my hands when I killed it.
Not good.
Second car was a 1987 Chevy Sprint, 3 Cylinder wonder. Loved that car. It crapped out at 150,000 miles.
Third was a 1985 Chevy Sprint, crapped out at 175,000.
Then I got my 93 Excel. 165,000 miles later and it's still running like a champ.
Then my 01 Tib.

1st car was a 89 pontiac 1000, it looks just like a chevette. i wrapped it around a telephone pole while delivering news papers while in high school. the ganja did'nt help my perception while in a high speed drift on dark back roads in the florida rain.
2nd car was a 67 mustang, traded that for a 77 grand prix then pawned that and got a 99 dodge dakota with switches. i got the truck for a grand and when i traded it in for the tib, the dealership gave me 2 grand so i thought that was pretty cool.
i have a 95 240sx also, well i actually got it for my girlfriend as a christmas gift this past christmas.

My very first car that I paid for was an '84 Mazda RX7. It had a tired old 1.3, but damn, it was a fun first car. One of my buddies dubed it "The Turd" because it was a metalic brown color. I thought it was so cool that I had a little sports car at age 16. It had leather interior, large removeable moon roof, power windows, it was a five speed of course, and back in the day I stuffed 4 10" subwoofers in the back. I would love to have another one someday and totaly restore it. Five more cars later, I purchased my Tib and it was my first brand new car I ever purchased. I remember when I was living out in AZ, I saw one in the mall when they first came out. I had never seen anything like it. I couldn't believe it was a Hyundai. Then 3 years later I got mine in MI.
