what city/state do u live in and how do these cops mess with you and/or your friends.

 

LOL, they don't really mess with me anymore because I am older but around here as long as you aren't being a dumbass you are safe.

I am down at the jersey shore, living here with a car with PA tags... and occasionally I have been followed for a couple of blocks.. but I have NEVER been hassled. As for the local ricers and racers.. I do not mingle with them too much, but the honda guys all stare and the mustang drivers either ignore me or give my car nasty looks... sometimes it helps to have a mostly stock looking car... however that will be changing this year (finally)

 

well i live in Dallas TX and just down the street on NORTH WEST HIGHWAY is where all the local kids go race
between some warehouses the cop around here are getting to be real D***s if you have a nice fix -up car that looks fast they will fallow you till you leave the county or do something stupid and then you guess it a big fat ticket i already have two one of them was for " inpeding traffic" and "having blue lights on my hood"they said blue and red is for emergency vehicals only. one cop said in order to stop street racing we are starting a program called " NO MONEY, NO PARTS as long as we keep putting fines on you, you woun't have money for parts have a nice day"

 

That No Money, No Parts thing is a crock, did you get his badge number because that is profiling and harassment. I would have been in court with that ticket. If I am a millionaire or just work hard to fix my car up that is my business. If you catch me doing something stupid or I have a record of illegal activities (i.e. street racing) that would be one thing but to take someone's money away that just wants a nice car and likes to race at the track or on private property that is my business!!!!!! :!: :!: :!: :!:

I have not been pulled over for quite a while (knocks on Wood/Head tongue.gif ) And on my way to work i average 75-80 in a 55 zone. I know they want to mess w/ me (i drive a cardinal red 2nd gen), but on the other hand everyone else is doing the roughly the same speed as me, so if i ever do get pulled over under those normal every day conditions, I WILL fight it. DESCRIMINATION. Cops in the DC area are extremely scared of that word. I have a couple of friends that are cops, spread out around DC, but yeah most of the State Troopers are the ones that are assholes, they are really the ones that i watch out for. about half of my commute to and from work is on interstates.

Cops are not all bad, just pray the one that s pulling you over isn't having a sh1tty day, and most of the time you can walk w/ little or no fine, its all about respect and attidude w/ them.

 

Cops only discriminate and target my car when I'm involved with watching street races. They seem to lock onto my car and follow me, not the factory looking Integra's or Spec-V's ... that's about the only time I have a problem, but then again, around here, my car sticks out like a Pink and Purple Polka Dotted school bus

Now that I think about it... even though I've had 4 speeding tickets, they all came before my body kit. Since I've had my body kit, I usually seem to only speed if there's somebody else around me that can get caught, so the cop has to decide which to pull over.

On the interstate, the State Troopers usually crab the crappy looking civic or funny looking civic's with unpainted body kits and black painted (not CF) hoods. Maybe they look at my car and admire the body work and how clean it looks, and wanna get the ugly cars off the road wink.gif Or maybe I've just been lucky laugh.gif
