Those of us who get news emails from Elemental Designs will probably have already seen this, but I thought i'd share with the rest of you.

This guy is nuts. And he's selling it for around $2700 when it's finished, if anyone wants a giant sonic weapon in their basement. tongue.gif

He's putting an assload of these http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_i...products_id=448 into one box. 50 pairs it sounds like, totalling 100 speakers.

The contraption can handle up to 15,000 watts he figures.

It's a crapload of money, and something I would never do... but I have to admit it looks very cool. lol

so what's the point of it? i mean for that much you can just buy some concert speakers and call it a night. the guy is spending 16 hour straight days on it. what a waste of time. if he was building something that makes a difference in the world than cool, but this uuh you turn it on and turn it off wow. i bet if you asked this guy why he made this he'd srug his shoulders.

and what's the point of leaving the pictures so huge? uuuh they're pictures you don't need to look at every little detail. this guy is quirky.

 

that's the perfect reason to do anything man...

but it is going to put out some SERIOUS sound for the amount of money put into it.

 

Yeah, he's selling it for $2700 and it didn't cost him much more than that to make.
That's one hell of an output for that price.
