I'll bet that not to many people noticed that I hadn't been around lately, but that's ok... I understand... 02.gif I'm not loved anymore since I don't have the orange beast. lol j/k guys.
So, I've been gone for the last three months because I moved to on base housing in December to get away for my psychotic neighbor. I'm loving being on base and not having any bills to speak of, and a slightly larger living space. It took the stupid internet company a month to get the connection switched over from my old house to this new one.
Jan, I went to Nellis Air Force Base to let our F-15Es run up against the F-22s... needless to say, we got our butts handed to us... Just TWO F-22s took down TEN of our F-15Es!!! It was pretty amazing, since the Lakenheath F-15Es are some of the top of the line as far as 15s go. Honestly though, I wouldn't hope for anything less from the Double Dueces. Then we preticipated in a Red Flag Excersize, the first one to include the F-22s, so it was a monumental thing. I have pictures of all the planes the were there... F-15C/D Eagles, F-15E Strike Eagles, F-16 Falcons, F-22 Raptors, F-111 Aardvarks(they were Aussies), GR4 Tornados (The British), BAE Harrier IIs (British also), B-2 Spirits, B-1 Lancers, just to name some of the aircraft that were there. For those of you who do not know what Red Flag is... look it up, it's pretty cool to read about I promise you. Now, Nellis being in good old Las Vegas, you all know that that is a good time... but OMG expensive... 4 bux for a bottle of water, just a tad rediculous if you ask me. The first week I was out there I got some pretty awesome news from my wife; she calls me up one day and tells me that I'm going to be a daddy!! I'm incredibly stoked to hear this! Couple of weeks later I'm sick of Vegas and want to go home and see my wife so bad I can't stand it... but the trip isn't over...
Off to Barkesdale Air Force Base we go for another month to participate in a Green Flag Exercize, this is where we are working with the Army who are calling in our Aircraft for close support bombing and straifing runs. Pretty cool stuff there too. We were working with the B-52 Stratofortresses and the A-10 Thunderbolt IIs (Warthogs) there. I don't know if any of you have been to or even know of Shreveport, Louisiana... but there isn't to much to do there. There are a few casinos, but that's about it, not a major city. The cool part about Barkesdale was that my wife came out with her mother, and my dad and his brother and wife came out to visit, which was pretty cool.
This is where things get bad.... the very last week we are there, my wife calls, and says that there is a problem, we had a miscarrage.... I was pretty distraught about that... and it is still pretty hard to think about, but if you guys could remember me and especially my wife, I would greatly appreciate that.
But yeah, pictures to come on the planes and such.

I definitely didn't like your absence... Glad your back for a little!
Please get some pics up of the planes (particularly the Strike Eagles wink1.gif ) glad you had such a great time there, I would have loved to have been there too.
Sorry for your loss, I can't even imagine...

oh man.. that loss sucks. I should have had two more siblings but didn't due to miscarriages. The last one almost killed my mother (she hemmoraged internally, into the plecenta, which held it all in)
So you have my complete sympathy... and yes, I had wondered what happened to you. Sounds like you were having a ball except for the loss of your soon to be child

Mate, I'm really sorry to hear that.
It happened to a couple of friends of mine a while back & they were really cut up about it but they persevered, battling through the emotional hardship & have just last week given birth to a beautiful baby girl.
I hope you & your wife are ok.

Truly sorry to hear about the miscarriage jared... remember that the babies life will give way to new life otherwise not possible. i know it's a bad way to put it, but it's a positive thing.
i went to my first air show here at home and it really felt great being out in the open air with all those planes. life must be good up there under the sun cool.gif
