It's looks kind of cheap

Not sure how I feel about this..... That said the bullpup kit for my Ruger is 3d printed. But that's really nothing more than a stock kit. A full 3d printed gun seems like a terrible idea. At least at the current level of the technology.

This is the future, get use to it. Materials and techniques are constantly changing and evolving. You could now print the frame out of carbon fiber. Combining materials could make a very strong structure for anything, including a firearm.

The metal 3D printers are not something a home user will have access to at this time, but you're looking at the future.

I see a future where retail stores no longer exist. Every home will have a 3D printer, just like how every home now has a microwave. When you purchase something, it will be downloaded to your printer and will be printed in your home. Information will be sold only online, no more CD-ROMs, CD's, DVD's, etc... Large items, like appliances will be ordered online and delivered by self-driving delivery vehicles. EVERY person will work either in information technology or as a technician repairing in-home devices (3D printers, microwaves, TV's, etc...).

All you people suck at reading the future. I have literally seen the future. It was on Star Trek, and every home has a Replicator. You tell it what you want and it makes it appear using magic.

The 3D metal printers you could use to make a gun that didn't explode when fired cost more than a typical house in Southern California. More realistic for the advanced hobbyist, if you are able (big IF) you can make your own 3D plastic printer for a few hundred bucks and big enough to print stuff you would want to print. There are some inexpensive "buy it, send it a file and it prints" consumer grade plastic printers for not that many hundred dollars but they tend to be only able to print smaller parts. Look for larger capacity and smaller price as this technology matures and becomes more popular at the same time.

And the all-plastic gun that doesn't explode when fired? It's all small parts. Gun control is a *lost* battle. The next battle is ammunition, which is waaaaay harder to make than a gun to fire it. Until someone comes up with a design for reliable caseless or plastic-case ammunition you can roll your own at home. Then small arms control is a lost battle as well.
