he hit 3 deer in one winter, and one in the fall. less than 2 weeks after he got it fixed, he hit the first of his 3 winter catches, he said he is gonna get it fixed in the spring (sometime) but good thing he didnt fix it before he hit the other ones haha. BUT for hitting three deer, the truck doesnt look THAT bad i guess haha.

He told me he doesnt know what to do to stop hitting deer, i said he should stop driving with his eyes closed lol. but in all seriousness i think im going to buy him those whistler things, or a cow catcher lol

THat's some very bad luck, it's a good thing he hasn't been seriously hurt

Uh... if that's what his air filter looks like. What does his oil/oil filter look like?

you wouldn't believe what you would see in an airbox of a vehicle. little creatures such as field mice, squirrels or any other small critter can crawl up in there and live. finding nests, a-corns, and other nature items from an air box is quite common believe it or not.

saw it all the time while workin at sears

When I got my Tib, I started to take off the resonator and all that jazz and there was a mouse nest, and a bunch of corn in the resonator. I don't think the chick that owned it before me did much to it

One of the reasons its always best to check out the filters, etc. when you buy used. tongue.gif You might accidently buy something that was treated so poorly like that.

he changes his oil and oil filter every 3000 miles on the dot though, its not that he doesnt care for his vehicle, its just that he was never told everything he should do for his vehicle for regular maintenance. He didnt know u were supposed to do more than change the oil and put gas in it lol. im keeping an eye on both my parents vehicles from now on lol. my mom just bought a brand new sonata last year so shes still got a lil while before ill change hers.

Today i was putting summer air in my tires and i had a full compressor and i asked my dad when the last time he checked his air pressure was, and as expected he hasnt at all. He was running 20psi in each tire when the recomended pressure was 30-35 lol. i slapped him in the head and then put some air in his tires hehe, rolleyes.gif

that type of stuff is common user maintenence though. i mean if you read your car's manual, which you should considering you freakin rely on it all the time, then it'll tell you the intervals at which it recommends certain services/repairs. he shouldn't be allowed to have that car..
off topic: ever wonder how those mentally handicapped kids who get cars for free take care of em??? wouldn't want that as a beater
