So im home for college and when i was unpacking my things my dad saw my K&N filter recharger kit and asked what that did, i explained it cleaned ur filter and saves u money in the long run so u dont have to keep replacing your air filter. he said, 'were supposed to do that?' i was like omg dad are u serious, youve had that truck for at least 3 years and u havent changed your air filter yet? hes like well maybe i should take a look at her sometime, and i suggested this might be a good idea. after a few weeks he didnt do it because hes lazy so i decided to take alook at it today. After figuring out Ford's rubix cube airbox i took the filter out, it was...well, look lol

it had leaves and debris all over it and in the air box, i was like omg. some people just dont take care of their vehicles, haha

OH and there are other reasons why he shouldnt be around cars \/

he hit 3 deer in one winter, and one in the fall. less than 2 weeks after he got it fixed, he hit the first of his 3 winter catches, he said he is gonna get it fixed in the spring (sometime) but good thing he didnt fix it before he hit the other ones haha. BUT for hitting three deer, the truck doesnt look THAT bad i guess haha.

He told me he doesnt know what to do to stop hitting deer, i said he should stop driving with his eyes closed lol. but in all seriousness i think im going to buy him those whistler things, or a cow catcher lol

besides the front, the truck is in great shape, its just dirty because my dad wont wash it before he fixes it. he only has like 40 or 50k on it and hes about to pay it off

\/ and they wonder why it doesnt last more than 100k, how long could u run breathing out of a straw?

That oil cooler is classic. laugh.gif

Face it, 90% of people on the road aren't as obsessed as we are. They just use it as a means to get from point A to point B, and don't care in what shape it is as long as it gets there and still runs.

I just changed my Mom's Subaru Forester's air filter a week ago... first time in 108,000 miles. It was a little worse than that.

you wouldn't believe what you would see in an airbox of a vehicle. little creatures such as field mice, squirrels or any other small critter can crawl up in there and live. finding nests, a-corns, and other nature items from an air box is quite common believe it or not.

saw it all the time while workin at sears
