You know, that looks like you hit pretty hard. You would think the airbags would go off for that but I hear they dont in our Tibs

Ouch, that sucks. Well, at least you have a legit excuse to put your kit on. fing02.gif Hopefully everything works out alright too!

Yah I got into a pretty bad front end wreck with my old tib (did almost the same $ amount of dmg as yours) and my air bags didn't deploy either.

i'm sorry to hear that you had an accident. but hey least you're ok and insurance covered it up...

What bodykit do you have? and the invader hood is the best hood for rd2's. if you ask me stock 2000-2001 tiburons look hideous (sorry to all the owners but it's just my tongue speaking) the foglights are square, the lights are circles, it really makes no sense. pointless lines in both the bumpers, and a grill in the rear with humps that stick out? Square lights in the back and absolutely everything that the tiburon was meant to be when it was first designed in California was taken away from it. The curves on each side don't fit in with anything, it's easily noticeable that the hood was just modified with an additional hump that wasn't originally supposed to be there... the lights are one unit covered up by the bumper to make it look like two... and to get the lights out you need to take the bumper off... I could go on and I've said it before. There's nothing impressive about those early 90's Pontiac overdone styling details. I'm being completely honest.

BUT! (ready for this?) I think they have the potential there to look amazing. I find the one bodykit that is so wild and out there making it look like a fashion show on wheels is the overproportioned Veilside Kit. The problem is The Veilside needs 17' rims to go with it and nothing else. Most 2000 bodykits are linnear and don't mix in well with the humps of the 2000 Tiburon, but the veilside seems to really make it seem like the Hyundai that it was originally supposed to be... During this time is the only time the 2000-2001 Tiburons really appeal to me and not the car the Koreans f*cked up.

In 1996-1999 Tiburons dominated worldwide Hyundai sales by 50% of the sales. In 2000-2001 that number was reduced to 20%-30% and is the answer to why they were only produced for one year. The Veilside kit really fixes everything I don't like about the car and If I weren't driving my 1997 I would really be driving a 2000, but in order for it to be appealing to me at least it definitely requires a bodykit and some classy rims...

My point to you is that you will see what I mean when your kit (hopefully veilside) and hood are finished. You will actually drool at your car in a shopping parking lot instead of just nod.

haha... well I hope your Happy for me.. ^^^^

it's not the veilside, but its the knock off... (the guy doing my car, I feel can do a 100pecent job on my kit, making it pretty much the same thing as a real veilside) granted I know you guys will prob grant and grown that I didnt get a real one, but the fact is I just dont have that much money..

secondly my hood came in, and boy is it f*** awesoming!! I love it, and I hope it looks great on my car.

thirdly.. I ordered my rims..w/ tires.. ill get a picture of them, but there the Exel GT-RS wheels.. in gunmetal.
Im really hoping everyting goes good with my car and it doesnt look like a spaceship... if it does.. I guess its going to be a new paintjob.. heh

Anyways thanks for the comments. and I hope I make you happy when I bring out the tib.

found a decent pic of the rims.

another update: The car got put on the rack two days ago, and currently getting repaired, the guy cant wait too put on the kit, and do some work too it (seems like he is really excited of the outcome) I gave him a camera to take pictures of the process so ill post them here as soon as I can.

I can't wait!
