REDZ why can't you let us enjoy our toy? I hate how people go off of ratings and hearsay about games. And I especially hate how people need to bash other systems in order to say how much better theirs is. I love my PS3, I've been a playstation fan since the beginning. True there aren't many PS3 specific games YET, the system just came out two months ago though so give it some time. I love every thing about it, and I would never get a Xbox. Right now I have Madden and NBA 2k7 but i just signed up for gamefly.com (its like a netflix for games) and i just received Need For Speed Carbon.

 

I gots the PS3, I dunno why everybody can't find a PS3... here in Bemidji, EVERY store have PS3s.
So far my favorite system is still the Wii.

And Redzman the 360 had the same problems and the ps3 is have now when it first came out. ie crapy games, poor suppy. And in the first 2 weeks of lanch the ps3 sold more then the 360 in its 2 weeks. And when you read reviews for the blue ray player part of the ps3 it is as good as any other blue ray player, but the 360s $200 HD-dvd add is not good at all.(hmmm $400 360 + $200 Hd-dvd addone = $600) But you have to said the the Wii kick both the 360 and ps3 asses.

I don't go off of that. At all. I've played the POS3. Not impressed, at all. I played Motorstorm about a week ago. It froze up 3 times, all needing the console reset. The POS3 sucks, that's all it is. I've hated the controller since the POS1, and the new ones, as light as they are, are worse. And no rumble? WTF?!?!?!?



Now now now, I didn't say anything at all about my glorious 360. LOL

I'm not bashing the POS3, just Sony.



Yup, there were PS3's in stock at Best Buy and 2 Gamestops near me, 3 days before Christmas.



Crappy games, I'd have to agree, but every system launch is like that. One or 2 stars, lots of sequels, and a lot of trash.

What's funny is that Fight Night Round 3 looks and plays way better on the 360 than the POS3, and they had an extra year to work on it for the POS3.

As for poor supply, Microsoft sold out through March. When they were in the store, they were OUT of the store. The PS3 is sitting around everywhere already, collecting dust. It's not that there's more POS3's out either, they've still have not even sent out 2 Million systems.



And right before Christmas most of them were returned to the stores because no one on Ebay was buying them. Prices remained in the 1000 range on Ebay through March of last year, PS3's are going for barely 700 on ebay now.

Most of the analysts on the gaming industry have already lowered the PS3 sales for the year by 25%, in JANUARY, because of poor sales.

As if this isn't enough, Sony's PS3 sales DROPPED in December. Yay, they've shipped 1 MILLION to the US, but according to NPD, the company that does the sales figures for electronics, they've only sold about 700,000 in the US.



Ehhh, nope. All the reviews I've seen have said that they are equal, or that the HD-DVD is better. Who cares? I bought the 360 to play games, I've got a DVD player for movies. Since no one is really buying EITHER HD-DVD or Blueray movies right now, who's the winner?

Right. But 360 = 299 or 399 and you can play games right then and there, and not get a new proprietary format forced on you.

Remember, Sony said that the Mini Disc would be the future digital format, and not CD's. How many folks do you know that use Minidisks? I don't know anyone.

Or you could go the other way and point out VHS and Beta. Beta was a superior format, more length, better quality video, and smaller cassette, but what was in your entertainment center?

I was really excited to see what a ps3 could do. I finally got to play one the other day and in all honestly i was rather unimpressed. Yea the graphics are good, but they arent outstanding. Just reminded me of good computer game graphics. The games were nothing special either, I didnt think Resistance was that good and as already stated you can get the rest of the games for other consoles, some even on ps2. But to be fair Im sure they'll come out with a great game eventually.

I cant see myself getting a ps3 or 360 anytime soon, Ill stick with the previous models as long as i can wink1.gif

 

I have a 360 and I do like a few of the games it has. I will get a PS3 for FF13, GT5, Metal Gear, and others. The difference is the games it self. If you like more american games you will think teh 360 is better if you like Asian stye games they PS3 will be better. I know that onec better games start to come out the ps3 will sell. All you have to do is look in the past PS2 111.25 million sold as of Sept 30, 2006 PS1 102.49 million sold as of March 31, 2005.

But I am a PC gamer and I know the PC games and FAR better then any console. 8 million playing World of warcraft.

 

I dont have one, but I do have a PS2 which I enjoy. Im not that into gaming at all, but I like my PS2 if the PS3 gets cheaper in like 4 years I may get one.

I have always been with playstation cool.gif ... Right now the games are so-so but if you look at some of the games to come... and give the company time to transition to the new ps3, i bet you will see a huge difference. For example, anyone with a ps3 should go download the demo of Gran Turismo 1.1. This demo will take about 1-2 hours to download, but it has some amazing graphics. And there is 10 cars to unlock in a demo. Its well worth the time IMO fing02.gif . But yeah I am only in HS and my brother is loaded so basically i didnt spend a dime on the ps3 or the Wii. Both are awesome, but both need to get some games out and quick...

 

Well, Nintendo will do very well this Gen, and as for numbers.

10.4 Million for the 360 so far, that's a nice number.
