I usually go shopping every year at this time, but I think I'll pass this time. More especially since I waited well over 5 hours to get my Xbox!!!

 

First kill story - I arrived at Best Buy at 3:30 AM today (with zero sleep, I was working on a take home exam till 2:30) to try and get a laptop for my mom. Holy shit there was a long ass line, probably around 300 people in front of me. At 4:15 AM or so there was no more parking and cars started jumping the curb to get into a dirt lot. By the time 5:00 AM it, I was actually in the front 10% of the line or so the line had gotten so long. After finding and getting the things I wanted (laptop sold out on presale 02.gif ) I had to stand in the cash register line for another hour. No way I'm doing that again unless I'm going to make some money from the whole ordeal - I'll stick to ebay.

Ya i was going to best buy for a laptop as well and they were gone well before i got there (at 430) to the presale thing

 

we didn't have presale.. we had ticketing along the country....first 100 peeps were separated and given tickets..

 

At our Best Buy people were outside waiting the day before around 7pm. Damn.

I worked 4am - 4pm.

Working today is going to suck. I might as well just wear a shirt that says "No, it's not in stock"

 

I'm avoiding all the crowds! I'm doing my shopping online! eg. Ebay, gifts.com, and shopzilla.com

I went shopping and got myself a 19" LCD monitor for $170!!!
